Two people walking the Manaslu Circuit in autumn pay USD 200 for the restricted area permit, plus two conservation fees, plus a licensed guide they are required to hire.
The restricted area permit
USD 100 a person for the first week from September to November, then USD 15 a day. It is only issued through a registered agency, for two or more trekkers with a licensed guide.
Permits for two · Manaslu · autumn 2026
USD 200 + NPR 12,000
The restricted permit for a week, plus two conservation fees each. A guide is required on top.
The two other permits
The Manaslu Conservation Area Project fee, NPR 3,000, and ACAP for the Annapurna side, NPR 3,000. Together about USD 45 a person.

Why the group rule matters
Solo trekkers usually join a stranger’s permit through an agency. If the group splits, both are in breach.
“Without the group, there is no permit. We match people every week.”
