What we collect
We collect only what we need to run the site and send the newsletter:
- Your email address, if you sign up for the newsletter or a fee alert
- The receipts and details you send us, and your name if you want credit
- Questions you ask Ask AI, logged without any personal data, so we can see what people need
- Page visits and a few actions (a calculator used, a question asked, a form sent) through Google Analytics, only if you allow it
What we don’t collect
We never record the text of your questions or the details you send in analytics, and we never sell your details.
Analytics and cookies
If you choose Allow in the cookie bar, we load Google Analytics. It sets cookies to count visits and tell us which guides and tools help. We keep its data for 14 months. If you choose No thanks, nothing loads and nothing is set. You can change your mind with Cookie settings at the foot of every page.
Ask AI
Your question history is kept in your own browser, not on our servers. You can clear it at any time from the Ask AI page. Questions are sent to our answer service and to the AI model that writes the answer; they are logged without your IP address or any identifier.
How long we keep it
Newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe. Receipts for as long as the figure they support is on the site. Ask AI logs for 90 days.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or have it deleted. Email us and we reply within 30 days.
