Short answer

  • Dal bhat is NPR 900 with free refills.
  • Rooms are often free if you eat at the lodge.
  • Prices rise from here as the trail climbs.

Namche has more lodges than anywhere else on the trail, so it has the widest range of prices: from simple rooms above a bakery to lodges with en-suite bathrooms and heated dining rooms.

Most trekkers stay two nights here to acclimatise, so it is also where a budget is most often set.

While you are there

The Saturday market sells supplies cheaper than the lodges. The ATM often runs out in October.
